These pictures were up in the old photos section of my site, but I decided to put them up on Flickr, too. Still kind of unbelievable to me.
Dude, I just saw the same thing happen in the grassy field between the studio buildings in EV. The heron crouched, utterly frozen, then apparently snapped up a gopher when I looked away, as it was bouncing it around in its beak when I looked back. Then it wolfed it down. It flew off a few minutes later. Wow.
