Friday was EA's annual holiday/celebrating continued employment party. Unlike some previous years where EA has rented out a special venue, this year's was held at the office. This had been a source of disappointment, but I have to say they did a really good job of transforming the place. There were a couple live bands, lots of food, and a casino. As always, it was fun (and a little strange) to see my coworkers all spiffed up in suits and dresses, carting around babies and significant others.

I did, however, have a real "college" moment when at 9:30, only 1 1/2 hours into the party, I went into the restroom and found a woman in a red satiny dress, bent over, depositing the contents of her last meal into a toilet. There were about 6 other women huddled around the tiny stall, in various states of non-help -- holding her hair back, flitting around and occasionally asking "Are you ok?", checking their cell phones and wondering why Kerry hadn't called yet, and of course, checking their makeup in the mirror. The puker, inbetween heaves, contributed such gems as "You really know who your friends are when you're drunk!" It was muy classy.
