GOOD CONVERSATION
It's conversations like these that remind me that sometimes EA is an awesome place to work.
On Inappropriate-Sounding Consoles
(Setup: In EA's Wii lottery, my manager Pete won a Wii, and had picked it up but had not yet opened it.)
Me: Dude, how come Pete hasn't opened his Wii yet? I want to play it.
(Pete walks by.)
Addison: Hey Pete, Sha Sha wants to play with your Wii.
Pete: ...
On Probability
Jim: So when do you guys ship?
Me: Next summer.
Jim: Oh, well you have a pretty simple design. There's no way you'll miss that date.
Peter: Well, they could all catch on fire.
Jim: ...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Hello, friends! I had a really nice vacation that involved a lot of sittin' around. How was yours? Here are some pics.
In other news, thanks to Justin and his Black Friday madness, I will soon be getting a Mio DigiWalker C310x GPS unit. Sweet! No more gettin' lost for me!
Finally, things are happening at work. If I haven't already told you about them, shoot me an e-mail and I'll give you the 4-1-1.

I EATED IT
My new favorite picture:
From here.
In other news, Enzo had his first trip to the beach (in Point Reyes) this past weekend, and I think he kind of hated it. Pictures forthcoming.
Edit: Pictures are up here

GO DEMOCRATS!
Woo!
In an unrelated note, I've heard it is a bad idea to eat nothing but salad and popcorn for dinner. Just a rumor.

MUST WE ALL HAVE TITLES?
My mom was in town last week, so I got to spend time with her, which was nice. The Enzo was not so nice, though.
Halloween pictures are up. I think I did a bang-up job with the Elroy Jetson costume, if I do say so myself. Saturday night we all went to a party at someone's place in the city. It was very reminiscent of college parties -- loud music, drunk people, and not enough room. But it was fun for people watching, at least.
Wednesday Yar and I went to a chamber music performance in Berkeley with Gil Shaham, Lynn Harrell, and Yefim Bronfman. Gil Shaham is probably my favorite violinist, so I really enjoyed it.
This weekend is also going to musical. I'm going to see Ramona's fiancee Owen play at Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, then on Sunday night it's a concert by the Marin Symphony. Hopefully all the fun-ness will balance out the fact that I'm coming into work on Saturday.
