LEAN BACK

Pretty low-key weekend. On Saturday I went to check out the Stevens Creek Trail since I told my friends I'd take them running there. I couldn't figure out which entrance would be best, so I just went to all of them. On the way I stopped by the Hong Kong Bakery on Castro and bought some pork buns and shrimp dumplings and ate them on the trail. Mmm... While I was at the southern end of the trail, I passed by a little league game and took some photos. The kids were really cute, but I decided I never want to be a little league coach. It must be like herding around a bunch of monkeys with ADD.

Afterwards I headed home and watched The Pianist which was very good. It's sometimes easy to forget that these things actually happened, and not even that long ago. It's really shocking to realize what depths humans are capable of, and at the same time their resilience. Pretty amazing.

In the evening I had dinner with Buddy, Marc, and Jess at Pasta Pomodoro and then it was back to Buddy's house to watch Daredevil which was as bad as everyone says it was. Seriously. This is coming from me, who didn't think Alien vs. Predator was all that bad. The story was bad, the acting was bad, the special effects were bad... And not so bad that they were good, just plain bad. I'm glad I borrowed it from work for free, because I might have been forced to fly into a Hulk-like rage if I had actually spent money on it.

Sunday morning was the run and dim-sum, and afterwards I hung out with May Ling for a while. After that I went to Red Lobster for Brendan's birthday dinner, and then to Dave & Buster's.

Things at work have been a little busy, and I ended up staying until 9 today. I'm already looking forward to the weekend...is that a bad sign? :)
