I'M A SAD PANDA
At work my team has a deadline coming up next week, so we've all been working late to try to get things done. On Monday I stayed until 10:30pm, Tuesday until 11:45pm, and Wednesday until 11:15pm. Last night, however, I had important business to attend to so I needed to leave by 8:30. That morning I was thinking to myself, "Hmm... maybe I should e-mail my lead engineer to let him know that I'll be leaving early."
...And then I mentally slapped myself and remembered that 8:30 is not "early." So I said "Screw you guys, I'm going home!" and left without e-mailing.
Sad.

First of all, I'm glad you went home "early". 11 p.m. is ridiculous. That said, dude, get a TiVo!
I actually do have Dish Network's DVR at home, but a couple of my friends and I have a weekly OC-watching ritual. We've been doing it for a few months now. :)
There was one evening back when Maxis was still up in Walnut Creek when some friends and I made plans to leave work early and go out to dinner. We "snuck out" without telling our bosses, and in the car on the way to the restaurant, we were all talking joyously how great it felt to be getting out of work early for a change. And then one of us noticed that it was 8:30 PM.
Yeah. I feel your pain...
