As a break from my usual egotistical ramblings, I thought I'd take a moment to talk about what some of my friends are doing. Yes, I do have some. They're on a payment plan.

I recently reconnected with a good friend of mine from high school, Lisa, and found out that she has started a jewelry-making business with a friend of hers. They make all of their pieces from musical instrument strings, which is pretty cool. Even cooler is that they are working on getting strings from famous musicians (I want to say Allison Krauss and Yo Yo Ma, but I could very well be making that up). In other news, Domi was recently accepted into her first-choice med school, Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine. A big congratulations is in order for her, especially since she was one of the few pre-med students I knew of who actually wanted to become a doctor. Imagine that.
