CANDIDATES
In the midst of all the Democratic primaries, I've realized that soon it will be my turn to vote in the California primary. However, I'm ashamed to admit that I know next to nothing about the current crop of Democratic hopefuls, other than the fact that Howard Dean screams like a madman. Does anyone have any pointers to a website with fairly unbiased summaries of all the candidates? And I don't mean just their education and background, but also their positions on various issues (budget, economy, seal clubbing, etc.) Does such a site exist? Something along the lines of "Democrats for Dummies".

Total Google counts for each candidate's name and "seal clubbing":
Howard Dean, 17
Al Sharpton, 4
John Kerry, 3
Dennis Kucinich, 3
John Edwards, 2
It looks like you should either vote for Dean or for Edwards, depending on what your views on seal clubbing are.
OH MY GOD!!!!!
How can you forget WESLEY CLARK!?!?!?!?!

imho, this four-star general who led US troops against Milosevic (no US casualties in the endeavor) is the best candidate to take out Bush and could best handle Rove's evil smear machine. i like kerry (he's tall and a vet), and i like edwards (his Two Americas speech is the BEST stump speech ever), but clark gets my vote for being the best candidate not only to attract independents and disgruntled republicans, but also to bring this country to a higher standard of leadership and restore respect from other nations. plus, he's handsome for an old man. ;) AND he's obviously not for seal clubbing according to google. HA!

all the candidates' websites have their positions on various issues (jobs, health care). of course, there will be a positive slant, but still informative. =) honestly, i'm hoping for a clark/kerry ticket (or vice versa), or a clark/edwards, but i can be happy with a kerry/edwards.
Clark just trails behind Dean in the seal clubbing issue:
Howard Dean, 17
Wesley Clark, 6
Al Sharpton, 4
John Kerry, 3
Dennis Kucinich, 3
John Edwards, 2
Hee =) *blush*
well, i don't know how to spin that... ;)
Oops...Clark slipped my mind. There are just too many candidates, y'know?
Personally, I'm rooting for Edwards because he's a good enough talker that I think he'd come across very well against Bush. I don't know much about Kerry, but I suppose I'll have to learn a bit about him sometime. Dean's a non-factor at this point.
I had high hopes for Clark when he entered the race. Unfortunately, he had no natural constituency and was sufficiently disorganized early on that he didn't manage to build one. If he's still in the race on March 2nd I'll be pleasantly surprised and I'll think about voting for him, but I don't really expect anyone other than Kerry and maybe Edwards (and perhaps Kucinich and Sharpton, neither of whom matters) to still be campaigning by the time we vote.
Yeah, that's true. Clark is kind of awkward on the stump, he's not a natural/career politician, but he is a quick study! =) He has a very active grassroots base and money is still coming in for him. I thought he had a respectable showing on Feb 3 and he has the third-highest amt of delegates (well, fourth if you count Dean but the "Super"delegate numbers are misleading). I have a good feeling he'll make it to March 2. Even if he doesn't, I'm hoping Kerry or Edwards will be wise enough to take Clark as VP.
Kucinich and Sharpton should drop out of the race NOW. Ugh, their presence takes away precious time from the debates :P
Total Google counts for Sha Sha Chu and "seal clubbing": 3220! WooHoo!
SWEET!
But in all fairness, searching for "Sha Sha Chu" and "seal clubbing" (with the quotes, which is how the other searches were done) only returns one result -- this page.
At least I can say that I beat John Edwards.
Ahhhh, I see. I wondered how that worked. Please pardon my poor Google parsing.
my heart is broken, wesley clark dropped out of the race. =(
a Kerry/Clark ticket? Kerry/Edwards?
ABB! (anyone but bush)
