You suck you IKEA ass wipe! The customer doesn’t understand how it goes together idiot! You sound like a typical IKEA bully! The majority of IKEA coworkers are perfectionist robots following orders and the rest are bullies giving orders! I worked at IKEA for nearly five years and it is not a good place to work! The managers and coworkers bully those who are not little robots. They also bully customers who are not little robots! It takes some skills to assemble the furniture! I have seen skilled builders at IKEA break the furniture at times so what do you think a customer will do! The simple answer is BOYCOTT IKEA! It is a bully culture who really doesn’t care about coworkers or customers! You are a prime example of this Mr. Customer Service! BOYCOTT IKEA OUT OF BUSINESS! Like the customer service bully wrote IKEA doesn’t care it made billions selling you cardboard furniture. Stop the bullying BOYCOTT IKEA!!!

Stay away from Ikea! I have been warned before but I tried it anyway, I should have listened. If you were an Ikea fan, you would soon find out.
I purchased a couch cover at Ikea in E. Palo Alto. When I came home to put it on my couch, I realized that it doesn’t fit. I went back to the store and waited more than an hour for my number at the return/exchange counter to be called. When I put my merchandise on the counter, the customer service woman asked me if I had a pet, looking at me like I did a crime. I found out that I couldn’t return the merchandise because the package had been opened. How could I try it if I didn’t open the package? The store manager named Ulices came and I showed him that the merchandise was in great shape, never been used, not dirty, nor abused (as mentioned on the return policy) and yet, he would not take back my merchandise. It cost me $170 and incrimination.

Let me preface this by saying that I LOVE LOVE LOVE IKEA products. However….this weekend, which was the July 4th holiday weekend, I went to Orlando with some friends and was staying at The Fountains Resort. My friends had brought their pickup truck, but we had our RAV4 SUV. (translation – not a lot of room to put furniture in!) We ran the gaunlet of shoppers, found a king sized platform bed, nightstands, and lamps we liked, and struggled through getting the items off the shelves without crushing our feet (no small task for two 60-something year old women…). Then we went through the checkout (great customer service up to this point) and I asked about delivery of the items. I was told by the checkout person that if I had someone to take them home I could leave them for pickup on Monday. But since my friends were the ones who would have to lug these items to their truck on Monday, I thought I would investigate the cost of home delivery by IKEA.

When I found that the delivery charge for these three items was going to be $130, I told the home delivery clerk that we would pick them up on Monday. HA! He said that since we were not using home delivery to the tune of $130 they would not keep them until Monday. His explanation was that they didn’t have room to store them. I pointed out that since we were in Orlando and not at home, the delivery could not take place until Tuesday if we used home delivery. His suggestion was to return the items and repurchase them on Monday!!! When we talked to the refund people they said that our debit card would be credited ‘in a few days’ if we requested a refund. We asked to speak to a female supervisor who was most unhelpful and refused to keep the items for the two days until Monday. So….we carried the bed to our third floor suite at The Fountains one box at a time, and then down again today one box at a time.

Let’s just say my first experience with shopping in an IKEA store will probably be my last….too bad, considering I really do love their stuff.

I have no problems with Ikea. I’ve bought some furniture there, what the hell, it’s cheap (and for all you who would pick Walmart over Ikea…at least Ikea’s goal isn’t to destroy every other business in the area)…you get what you pay for. And if you aren’t looking to buy cheap, then why would you go to Ikea? As for customer service, I’ve never had any problems, and I’ve returned stuff that had been opened. Probably because I’m nice to the customer service people…but what the hell…tell them they suck donkey dicks…I’m sure they will appreciate that and RUSH to help you.

Yeah, yeah…I know…I’m just a idiot, a tool, an asshole…whatever. I’ve worked retail, and I know how most people are assholes.

BTW, I live in the US. Born, raised, and likely to die here. I am appalled at the blatant misspellings that people are writing…maeks yoo luke licke ann itiod wen yoo cuntinulee mispel wurds, especally wen yoo kall tha wurkurs att Ikea idyuts.

Ha hi ho ho ha . Reading these comments are funnier than watching the Ali G show. american IKEA stores must be terrible odd places. First I wanna say Im not an IKEA lover nor a hater but here in Belgium Ive never experienced those problems. Nor when I shopped in France either. I have always faced good service. I have never either bought something of poor construction. Troubles assemble them.? No, just follow the instruction. Maybe its simple as this ,the IKEA staff in USA are stupid as hell and dont know how to provide good service. Maybe they are just incompetent. After reading a lot of comment from US customers I begin to think so. Most bad comments come from US in fact nearly all. Before I always thought many Europeans had lower IQ than a donkey ass and Americans were a lot smarter. I mean you liberated us and helped us during WW II. We Europeans always mess up things and start wars and revolutions and you heroic Americans came to our rescue. Im sincerely worried. What has happened to you Americans?
