Cool news:
Lorie (my animation teacher) wants to submit a piece for SIGGRAPH’s Electronic Theater and she wants students to help her with it! I of course signed up right away. The piece will be showing off her group’s Cartoon Capture technology, a way to capture motion from 2D cartoons and map that motion onto another 2D character, a photograph, or a 3D model. I’ll hopefully be helping out with some of the Maya modelling and rendering, and also the motion tracking. If it gets accepted, Lorie says we all get free trips to SIGGRAPH! Woohoo!
